I found it so hard to work the DELL site and the screenshots they provide look nothing like the actual interface. The Drivers and Download sections don’t even work.

We are using Vsphere ESXi hypervisor for virtually all of our servers from 4.1 all the way up to 6.7 and the product is great. We also use DELL for most of our hosting needs and these servers work well too; however we find that the support for DELL OpenManage on ESXi is not so good. You have to download and install some special software on Windows server or Windows 10 to be able to operate. Unfortunately we don’t use Windows in our office so we had to go out of our way to buy a Windows license just to use Openmanage. Moreover we had to download and install Dell’s Openmanage in ESXi to make things work.

We installed Openmanage vib 8.5 a while back and now could not find it on DELL’s site but luckily we found a copy on of the servers we setup a few months ago.
